Dig In to the Bible
· Read: Matthew 7:13-14; John 14:6
· In This Passage: In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus says there’s a wide path that leads to hell but he’s the only way to get to God’s kingdom, heaven. Jesus is the only way, the truth, and the life!
· Bible Point: Jesus is the only way to heaven.
· Summary Verse: “Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you. This is the essence of all that is taught in the law and the prophets” (Matthew 7:12).
Dig Deeper
· Jesus is the only way to heaven. Kids live in a world that’s getting ever more confusing when it comes to the Christian faith. With each generation, a higher percentage of Christians thinks evangelism or pushing your beliefs on others is wrong. The world tells kids that Jesus may be a way to heaven, and it’s fine for them to believe in Jesus, but other people can follow other paths to heaven, too. Use this lesson to help cement the absolute truth that Jesus is the only way to heaven.
· Think About: Who helped you find the way to Jesus?
Dig In to Prayer
· Ask God to help your kids who haven’t yet found Jesus, the narrow path to heaven. Ask him to open your kids’ hearts to following him.
