Operation Christmas Child is a Samaritan Purse Ministry that collects shoeboxes filled with toys, school supplies, and hygiene items for children around the world. The mission is to demonstrate God’s love in a tangible way to children in need. Through this project, Samaritan’s Purse partners with the local church worldwide to share the Good News of Jesus Christ and make disciples of the nations.
River Ridge Church will once again participate in this ministry and will kick off our campaign on Sunday, September 19. We will have shoeboxes and supplies available at the back of the church. You can return the filled boxes to the church on any Sunday, but the final deadline is November 14. Last year, the U.S. sent 7.8 million shoeboxes around the world. Our church sent 158 boxes and our goal is to double that number this year. Help be part of changing a child’s life and reaching out with Christ’s love during the holiday season.
