Brian Calendine serves as Secretary on the Elder Board and as the Small Groups Coordinator. He became a follower and disciple of Jesus Christ in early adulthood. His walk with God has not always been a smooth road, but the Lord has always been faithful in waiting for him to respond.
Brian has served the Lord in several ministry capacities, such as Awana leader, children’s church instructor, PADS shift leader, small group leader, and served on teams to develop and help small groups to flourish. In his business career, he has held managerial positions in several companies, and currently works at Abbvie Inc. Brian has been happily married to his wife, Deanna, for 33 years. He has four children, Jessica, Erin, Rebecca, and Matthew. He has seven grandchildren, Brooklyn, Wyatt, Anderson, Addison, Savannah, Jackson, and Avery. Brian’s main hobby is spending time with his family, although he occasionally golfs and follows Chicago sports teams. He is passionate about small groups and the impact they can have on people’s relationship with God, each other, and the community. He has two main goals: to fulfill River Ridge’s mission statement “to glorify God and advance His kingdom by loving others to Christ” and to have everyone attending River Ridge Church involved in small groups and community outreach.
